A HEN. 1) Canvasback drake 17" solid body, painted eyes. Label on bottom states "CANVASBACK" "by" "R. Madison Mitchell" "1968" "Havre de Grace, Maryland" (Mitchell died in 1993). CONDITION: very fine original paint with a few dings; 2 major at top of head. 2) Nearly identical to above except without label. CONDITION: very fine overall with a couple of minor dings. 3) Similar to above two except a hen in brown paint. Unsigned but with carved initials "FF" on bottom. CONDITION: fine with some minor dents. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Berrien Moore III. (02-25872-6/MGM). $600-1,200.
